This page explains how to use the native Jira integration to automatically send clips taken by the Dashcam desktop app to a chosen Jira board

Using the Dashcam desktop app, you can automatically attach clips to new Jira issues. You no longer need to use the Chrome extension as previously stated.

What you need:

• An active Dashcam account

• Download and install Dashcam on a Mac or Windows

• A Jira account

Let's dig into what this allows you to do, then let's set it up!

Activating the Jira integration

1. Ensure that you have created a Workspace after signing up to Dashcam.
2. Navigate to https://app.dashcam.io/projects and select a project. The selected project will be the one where all future uploaded clips will also get added as tickets to Jira
3. Click the three-dot menu and select Edit Project
4. Now click the switch to enable the Jira integration. A pop-up will open asking for your Atlassian credentials for Jira.

   (Note: you should have permission to add an app to your Jira instance, you might have to ask your Jira admin to enable them for you)

5. Select from the dropdown which Jira instance you want to create issues in. Our integration will create an Issue or an Epic and attach clips to them.

How to remove the integration:
