Using the Dashcam desktop app, you can automatically attach clips to new Jira issues. You no longer need to use the Chrome extension as previously stated.
What you need:
An active Dashcam account
and install Dashcam on a Mac or Windows
A Jira account
Let's dig into what this allows you to do, then let's set it up!
Now click the switch to enable the Jira integration. A pop-up will open asking for your Atlassian credentials for Jira.
(Note: you should have permission to add an app to your Jira instance, you might have to ask your Jira admin to enable them for you)
Select from the dropdown which Jira instance you want to create issues in. Our integration will create an Issue or an Epic and attach clips to them.
Congratulations, you learned how to upload and attach a clip to Jira with the Dashcam extension!
You can turn the switch to off
by following the same instructions listed above
Ensure that you have after signing up to Dashcam.
Navigate to and select a project. The selected project will be the one where all future uploaded clips will also get added as tickets to Jira
Click the three-dot menu and select Edit Project
