The clip directory stores your Dashes and other app data, and you can change it.

Dashcam never stores more than clip expiration setting.

At the bottom of the Settings menu, this setting shows you the folder location where all Dashcam data files are stored and lets you change it.

You can change the Clip Directory by clicking the Choose button

Be careful not to set this location to a OneDrive or iCloud synced folder, as everything will be uploaded to the cloud. This will consume a lot of network bandwidth in addition to the storage requirement.

By default, this value will be:

macOS:

/Users/{username}/Movies/Dashcam

Windows:

C:\Users\{username}\Videos\Dashcam

It is highly suggested not to modify the content inside the chosen directory unless you know exactly what you're doing. The files inside are actively used by Dashcam and are necessary for the correct functioning of the app.
